Savannah Sommerhalder, MD

Dr. Sommerhalder received her medical degree through Ross University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency training at The University of Texas Medical Branch. She is board-certified through the American Board of Pediatrics. She served as chief fellow during her fellowship and was assistant chief during her residency. Dr. Sommerhalder offers comprehensive care for both children and adults in the areas of food and environmental allergies, as well as sinus services.

Haley Overstreet, MD

Dr. Overstreet completed her Family Medicine Residency at The University of Alabama Family Medicine Residency in Tuscaloosa. After spending 3 years practicing Family Medicine in Austin, she's happy to be working in a more specialized practice focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of both seasonal and food allergies.

Chris Thompson, MD

Dr. Thompson focuses solely on allergy, sinus and nasal treatment and is considered an expert in all three fields. He is one of a handful of doctors that played an integral role in the development of the cutting-edge sinus procedure, Balloon Sinuplasty.

Stacy Silvers, MD

Dr. Silvers is a board certified allergist specializing in environmental and food allergy diagnosis, treatment and prevention. Dr. Silvers oversees our allergy program and protocols, and also leads the food allergy and oral immunotherapy (OIT) program at Aspire Allergy & Sinus. Dr. Silvers is considered an expert in the field of food allergy diagnosis and treatment. In 2019, Dr. Silvers was named Best Allergist in the Statesman's Best of the Best Contest.

Kyle Bartschmid, PA-C

Kyle Bartschmid, PA-C, graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas with a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies. Prior to joining the team at Aspire Allergy & Sinus, Kyle worked in the field of orthopedic trauma surgery. As a native Austinite and outdoor enthusiast, he understands the value of allergy and sinus relief, and has a particular focus on preventive measures to improve quality of life for allergy sufferers.

Sarah Robinson, APRN, FNP-C

Sarah Robinson is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2008. Upon graduation, she gained experience as a registered nurse in intensive care, labor and delivery, and postpartum. She then obtained a Master of Science in Nursing from Texas State University and spent time caring for patients in family practice, convenient care, and as an educator at Concordia University’s undergraduate nursing program.

Lori Gonzalez, PA-C

Lori Gonzalez is a graduate of the University of Texas Pan-American in Edinburg, Texas with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree. She has ten years experience working in Family Medicine, OB/GYN, and Pediatrics. She has first-hand knowledge of experiencing the effects of allergies, asthma and food allergies with her family and brings that experience to her patients here at Aspire Allergy & Sinus.

Jessica Horwath, PA-C

Jessica received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Texas A&M University and attended PA school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas where she served as President of her class and graduated with a Masters of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Her past PA experience includes practicing in Interventional Pain Management for over 9 years in Austin and practicing in Dermatology in New York City for 2 years. In addition to direct patient care, she has had experience as the Clinical Director of the Texas Pain Management Division of US Anesthesia Partners and has served as a research sub-investigator for several cosmetic laser research studies. Jessica was a seasonal allergy sufferer herself and enjoys helping her patients improve their quality of life by improving their allergy and sinus symptoms. She spends her free time exploring Austin with her husband and two young daughters, listening to live music, and plays on competitive indoor and sand volleyball teams with her husband.

Crystal Salazar, MPAS, PA-C

Crystal Salazar, graduated from the great Red Raider Nation of Texas Tech Health Science Center with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. Proud to be a first generation Mexican-American, born and raised in the Lone Star state, she has had an interest in medicine for many years, completing her Licensed Vocational Nursing Certificate with her high school diploma. Crystal graduated from Sul Ross State University with her bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. As a physician assistant, Crystal has worked in outpatient pediatrics and convenient care. Her passion is to listen to her patients' needs and address each one of them. She is overjoyed to have joined Aspire Allergy & Sinus which encourages us to do just that. As a fellow allergy/asthma sufferer, she emphasizes excellent patient education to empower each of her patients to take control of their symptoms.

Christopher Brown, PA-C

Christopher Brown, PA-C, graduated from the Military’s Interservice Physician Assistant Program earning his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Prior to graduate school, he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical Care from Loma Linda University and served as a Paramedic Captain and Instructor in central Texas. As a Physician Assistant, Christopher has worked in occupational health and is currently a medical provider in the Army National Guard. Being a seasonal allergy sufferer himself, he is excited to join the team at Aspire Allergy & Sinus so that he can help others improve their quality of life by improving allergy and sinus symptoms.

Kristen Malone Cragin, PA-C

Kristen Malone, PA-C, graduated from Butler University with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. She has spent several years as a Physician Assistant in pediatric surgery. Since moving from the Midwest to Austin, she has grown to specifically value the Texas climate and outdoor activity. Given her personal experience with allergies, she enjoys helping patients manage their allergies with innovative treatment solutions, and therefore optimize their quality of life.

Ashley Westrum, MPAS, PA-C

A Texas native, Ashley Westrum, MPAS, PA-C graduated with a Bachelor of Science from The University of Texas at Austin and went on to pursue a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. Prior to joining Aspire Allergy & Sinus, Ashley worked in pediatric inpatient and outpatient care at Dell Children's Medical Center, as well as in cardiology, primary and urgent care settings in Austin, TX.
