Austin, Sep.17, 2019 / -- Aspire Allergy & Sinus is excited to announce that they’ll be joining the World Health Organization (WHO) and other leading organizations around the world to recognize the first ever World Patient Safety Day,September 17th, 2019.
Declaring patient safety to be a global health priority, the WHO is using the day to initiate a campaign of building awareness and commitment to improve the safety of health care worldwide.
“We at Aspire Allergy & Sinus and take patient safety extremely seriously”, said Dr. Haley Overstreet, Physician and VP of Quality Assurance & Quality Control. “We care about our patients and do everything in our power to make sure we are keeping our patients' safety as our top priority.”
For this inaugural year, WHO is urging all stakeholders to “Speak Up for Patient Safety”.
Aspire Allergy & Sinus leads the charge in patient safety by not only doing monthly patient safety drills, but also requiring all clinical employees to go through a rigorous and detailed training program at the onset of their employment. This goes hand in hand with multiple safety checks and balances in our daily protocols, and monthly educational meetings to stay on top of the most up-to-date recommendations and healthcare changes.
