William W. Storms, M.D., is a past Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (Denver). He practices clinical allergy and clinical research at The William Storms Allergy Clinic in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He received his undergraduate degree in political science from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Allergy-Immunology at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
He served in the Armed Forces at the US Army Hospital, Fort Carson, CO, from 1970-72; Major, Medical Corps; he was honorably discharged in July 1972.
Dr. Storms is involved in many investigational drug trials for new therapies in asthma, COPD and allergic rhinitis. He is past president of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs. He is an Associate member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.
He is past president of the Western Society of Allergy and Immunology and the Colorado Allergy Society, and a former member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the Board of the Joint Council of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is the former chairman of the Sports Medicine Committee of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the Public Relations Network of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is a consultant to the Sportsmedicine division of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC).
Dr. Storms has been on the editorial boards and/or a reviewer for the Journal of Asthma, The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology; The Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; Chest; and ADIS International. He has published over 60 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has authored book chapters on asthma and allergy.

I had been to another allergists without much help after 18 months. First day meeting Dr. Storms and his amazing staff, they rolled up their sleeves and started a regimen of shots and antihistamines. This was as usual a great experience seeing and being treated by Dr. Storms. He is the absolute best doctor I have ever had the privilege of working with to alleviate my allergy issues. Vanessa also took care of me and was extremely efficient and professional with great people skills. The rest of the staff that checked me in could not have been more courteous.
